Controller product control team for an international wholesale and investment bank. You will be the controller of the product control teams (derivatives, bonds, repo’s, equities etc).
Controller to join the Accounting & Control team within Middle Office & Product Control (MOPC). MOPC is part of Finance & Control and consists of several teams: Bonds & Repo’s, Derivatives, Accounting & Control, Equity Derivatives/Equities, Corporate Banking and Investment Books. The main activities are related to control and support the Global Financial Markets business. You will be the controller of the product control teams.
The Accounting & Control team is responsible for managing the valuation, management Reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and controls around daily processes of the various teams within MOPC. In addition to the Front office, the Accounting & Control teams has strong links with Market Risk, Back Office, Audit and various F&C departments. Since the department controls the books for several foreign Rabo Financial Markets units (London, NY, Hong Kong, Chile), the setting is very international with frequent international contacts and several non Dutch speaking colleagues.
It’s also a lot of ad hoc reporting and providing managemeninformation to different internal departments. Also you will develop control standards and improve the control framework.
Knowledge and required experience:
• Degree (Bachelor/Masters) ideally in Finance, Control , Investment
Theory, Financial Engineering, etc. Candidates from other disciplines,
with a strong interest in financial markets will be considered.
• Knowledge of financial markets would be advantageous but not a
pre as on the job training will be provided.
• 2-5 years experience in financial environment (business
administration or business economics)
• Strong PC skills
• Basic knowledge of financial accounting (IFRS)
• Able to cope with time pressure and deadlines
