Over het bedrijf

Register Accountant for an international trading and market making company, providing liquidity to 30 markets globally. The organisation has offices in Switzerland, Curacao, Hong Kong and mainland China.


Over de functie

Due to continued growth we are now looking for an experienced Registered Accountant to join our closely-knit team at our Amsterdam Headquarters, where you will be providing financial expertise and support in an ambitious, challenging and dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and execute assessments of risks and controls related to general, application and access controls;
  • Evaluate the security and effectiveness of the existing control system in place to mitigate the identified risks;
  • Facilitate the implementation of improved control solutions;
  • Perform month end accounting tasks in accordance with the company’s closing schedules;
  • Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations;
  • Participate in consulting projects, working in conjunction with management to assess processes and improve workflow;
  • Prepare miscellaneous analyses and reports to support management with periodic filing requirements

Co-ordinate contacts with external parties e.g. auditors.


Functie eisen

  • At least 8 years experience from the financial sector, e.g. working with the Big 4;
  • Master and post academic RA;
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and SOX;
  • NIVRA;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English;
  • Willingness to develop and learn;
  • Ability to work equally effectively independently and as part of a team;
  • Pro-active/ self-starter personality;
  • Well organized and flexible.
